Guess this page is due for an update from me!!

Last Monday, I had my 1st night shift. As you may or may not know, I am a “Development and Support Engineer” for Customware Asia Pacific. Yea, the title sounds fancy right? Job titles are meant to be fancy but basically, people do different things when compared to the job title. Hmm.. Ok, back on track! It was my first night shift because I volunteered to cover a night shift colleague who was taking an annual leave.

Night shift was from 4PM to 12AM. Everything was fine. There were a handful of live support which came in during that time and that it was easy to handle although the cases were a bit tough. The nice thing that I felt working as a night shift support engineer was that there were less distractions around. There was less noise, less people. There was this feeling of freedom!! Yea, it was just this feeling whereby the burden is not on your shoulders!! There is one complaint though.. The air-conditioning was malfunctioning and boy was it warm. McD was not far way, just a phone call away.

Other than that, there is the allowance too!! :P I wonder how it would feel like if I were to request to be moved to the night-shift period? Would it be fun to work at night? Would it be nice? I am able to stay up till that late but after reaching home at around 12.30~, bed was the only thing that I was thinking off. Nothing more, nothing less. The next morning though was different.. Hard to wake up!!
